Denver, CO – Ice-O-Matic® announces that 100% of their ICE Series™ Modular and Self-Contained Cubers qualify for CEC energy efficiency. This will be the Federal Standard for energy efficiency mandated by 2010.
Additionally, Ice-O-Matic has qualified for the coveted Energy Star listing on more than 20 commercial ice machine models. These include modular units in air or remote cooled options ranging in daily ice production capacity of 249-1650 lbs. Also included are several self-contained under counter units ranging from 112-228 lbs of ice production daily.
With these achievements in improved energy efficiency, many Ice-O-Matic ice machines now qualify for energy rebates ranging from $75 to $500 per machine. These rebates are offered by select energy companies to commercial businesses around the country who purchase a qualifying ice machine, and who have an existing, qualified account with the participating utility company. According to Kevin Fink, President of Ice-O-Matic, “the rebates can represent approximately ten to twenty percent of the cost of an ice machine, and give businesses a financial incentive to purchase energy efficient equipment”. Fink added that “now, some participating Ice-O-Matic dealers are able to offer this rebate instantly in the form of a discount, for added convenience to our customers”, referring to the ability of some equipment dealers to offer the discount immediately to customers who agree to assign the rebate directly to the dealer.
